		<description>I love these birds, and actually had a pair of them for a short time (inherited from college roomie), before I gave them to a nice man who kept pigeons.  Interesting, especially in light of your post, is that they're actually called "mourning" doves, because their call is somewhat melancholy. 

Perhaps that cooing has served as a gentle reminder to you that it's OK to mourn a phase in your life that's over, and get on to the next one.</description>
